Melissa McLeod has over 11 years of management, coding, auditing, and education experience in all disciplines of medical coding. Her extensive experience in the field has led her to understand the need for strong collaborative relationships between coders, CDI, and physicians. She is proficient with both MS and APR DRG Grouping systems. She is certified as a coding instructor and has performed extensive coder/CDI and physician education sessions, along with establishing a robust retrospective ICD-9 and ICD-10 query program for himagine solutions where she serves as an advisor as part of the himagine solutions Advisory Council. In addition to her employment with himagine solutions, Melissa is an active member of ACDIS, AHIMA, and AAPC. She is an AHIMA PCAP reviewer as well as an AHIMA Clinical Terminology Classification Practice Council Member.
